Entangled Oceans is a Seattle-born Artist and Designer. She lived in all corners of the city her whole life with a passion for storytelling. She benefits from thinking a lot, and sometimes too much at once. She is influenced by Afrofuturism, the concept of Self-Actualization, and Indigenous Research Methodology to create pieces allowing a tie and connection between individuals and ancestors who came before, human cosmic and beyond. Her original stories hold dreamlike environments for the subjects to be within, holding secret images that promote critical thinking and asking questions, hence her passion for self-actualization. Her Design practice comes from the art of observation and slowing down to address key principles and aesthetics.

After living in Bellingham and attending Western Washington University for 6 years, she became the first Black Female graduate in history of Engineering and Sciences Industrial Design program with a minor in UX, and the first Black Female Visual Artist of Western Washington University.  With experience as a textile apprentice, she facilitated and directed multiple workshops in collaboration with Wa Na Wari and Seattle Art Museum. Her work is featured with clients such as Creative Justice NW, Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, Microsoft, The Rhapsody Project, Blue Cone Studios, Multicultural Collaborative, Historic South Downtown, Logitech, Technology Access Foundation, Bark Super Chewer, Northwest Folklife, On the Block, Bryan Potter Design, and Western Washington University.

She is the current recipient of Langston Hughes Create and Thrive Creative Empowerment program.
